Automated Valuation Models (AVMs)
RP Data is Australia's only provider of multiple AVMs developed in conjunction with CoreLogic™ and Rismark International. Powered by Australia’s most complete property database, RP Data's AVMs (both static and interactive) employ market-leading intellectual property customised for the Australian market. Our AVMs enjoy a reputation for high sophistication and outstanding pedigree.
Each AVM estimate is derived from several methodologies to achieve the greatest possible accuracy. Depending on a property's location and available data, up to eight component models can be utilised at any given time to provide an unrivalled level of accuracy.
RP Data's interactive AVM can be augmented with additional data such as the number of bedrooms to further improve accuracy. Additionally, each AVM estimate is provided with a Forecasted Standard Deviation (FSD) that reveals its statistical accuracy.
There is constant pressure for organisations to reduce the cost of valuation services without compromising risk. RP Data's desktop valuation product, the patented EVR, is Australia's only proven, reliable and consistent desktop valuation solution.
Desktop valuations are performed by local, fully-accredited valuers. By significantly reducing the requirement for valuers to be physically present on-site for every valuation, EVR provides a safe and cost-effective alternative to full on-site internal inspections while providing a complete audit trail.

RP Data can provide a sophisticated decision-making tool to help choose the most appropriate Valuation Solution. Powered by intellectual property developed and localised in conjunction with CoreLogic, Vector can provide management across most valuation and risk workflows.
Vector can empower lender staff by selecting the appropriate Valuation Solution given a loan appliation's unique risk profile, cascading from an AVM to an EVR, right through to a full on-site internal inspection as required.
For lenders looking to comply with Basel III or better understand the risk profile of their loan book, RP Data can provide Portfolio Valuation Services for individual properties or on a street/area level. This batch service can be run at specified dates, for current or retrospective valuations, and customised to meet specific needs. Customisations available include reporting:
- the average number of days properties are 'on the market';
- whether a property is listed for sale under the mortgage value;
- whether proportions of a lender's loan book have significantly decreased in value since mortgage origination; and
- the quality of address data recorded in a lender's loan book.
